Target SMTP was born in 2026 from the realization that Italy lacked a serious SMTP provider — Italian, with SdI invoicing and native-language support.
For years Italian companies had two options: large US providers (SendGrid, Mailgun, Amazon SES) — technically capable but outside the Italian tax context, without e-invoicing and with English-only support — or small Italian operators with handcrafted infrastructure, often a poorly configured Postfix VPS. The middle ground was missing: European technical seriousness, Italian fiscal compliance.
Engineered software, continuous monitoring, accessible logs, SPF/DKIM/DMARC enforced by default, EU IPs with curated reputation, hand-written and tested code. No marketing bot funnels, no sales people calling you: we answer via email when you need us.
Target SMTP is run by Davide Di Vietro, an Italian software engineer with 15+ years on distributed systems, email infrastructure and B2B SaaS. No board, no VC: one person responsible for product, infrastructure and support.
Operations in Italy. Infrastructure in Germany (Hetzner, Nuremberg and Falkenstein datacenters) to best serve the European market under GDPR.
